Her speech was again followed by President of the Association, giving an overview of the research that is to be conducted this summer within the WBYCP 2019 activities, titled “(Un)locking Youth Participation Through the Educational System(s)”. Research will give answers on questions such as: Is the educational system in BiH hindering the motivation of youth to engage into decision-making process and politics? How can we contribute in preventing this from happening? Participants of Info Day were divided into groups for brainstorming session on what they believe is hindering the youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Follow up session shed a light on main issues youth in BiH is facing, such as old curricula and outdated education system; absence of innovations; lack of communication between youth councils in different schools; lack of information sharing; lack of skilled youngsters; lack of participation in politics; new/old history and constant negativity spread with no positivism.

Third on was Ema Džejna Smolo, Sarajevo Model UN Project Manager, who gave an overview on developments in the organization of fourth edition of Sarajevo Model UN, where this year the focus will be on the participants themselves, while overall topic this year will be #MyImpact.

We would like to thank all new members for showing up and participating in today’s discussion, as well as to HUB 387 for hosting us at their premises. Note: Photo gallery is located in the bottom of this article.
