Meeting with H.E. Almir Šahović, Deputy MFA of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On May 31, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Association for United Nations (Association) representatives met with Mr. Almir Šahović, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ms. Dragana Anđelić, Minister-Counselor to discuss the initiative of establishing of the Youth Delegate program.

The meeting started with a warm welcome by H.E. Mr. Almir Šahović, who congratulated the Association representatives for establishing a national association that promotes the values of the United Nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed hope of a productive future cooperation.

After discussing the Association's mission and vision, Mak Selimović, the president of the Association presented an initiative for establishing a Youth Delegate program, its aims, importance and value for BiH's foreign policy. After the presentation, both Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister-Counselor offered institutional support for the Youth Delegate program.

The last segment of the meeting was conducted by Ismar Hadžić, Association's Secretary-General, who briefed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and Minister-Counselor of the upcoming Sarajevo Model UN activities, importance of informal and interactive education.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Association for United Nations would like to thank H.E. Mr. Almir Šahović and Ms. Dragana Anđelić, for their time and support to initiate the Youth Delegate Program in the foreseeable future.
