Bosna i Hercegovina i Ujedinjeni narodi / Bosnia and Herzegovina and United Nations

22. maja 1992. godine Bosna i Hercegovina postala je članicom Ujedinjenih naroda. (Rezolucija 757), čime je, kao sukcesor SFRJ, postala ugovorna strana svih konvencija i sporazuma koje je ratificirala SFRJ. U radu Ujedinjenih naroda BiH sudjeluje preko stalnih predstavništava u New Yorku, Ženevi, Beču, kao i pri UNESCO-u u Parizu.

Bosnia and Herzegovina became a Member State of the United Nations on May 22, 1992 (Resolution 757). As a successor of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY), Bosnia and Herzegovina became the State Party in all conventions and agreements ratified by SFRJ. Bosnia and Herzegovina participates in the work of the United Nations through the Permanent Missions to the UN in New York, Geneva, and Vienna, as well as through the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris (UNESCO) and Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Rome (UNFAO).

Read the essays that were presented at the “1st Voice-UP Forum” in Tirana, Albania, where participants from BiH had an opportunity to engage in a discussion where youngsters built up a common position and voiced up their shared understanding of present and future challenges, together with required action. Kenan Dautovič and asst. Jasmin Hasanović, Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo.

BHA UN participated in panel discussion during Tirana Connectivity Forum

On Thursday (November 8, 2018) representing the Bosnia and Herzegovina Association for United Nations, Mak Selimovic participated at Tirana Connectivity Forum in a panel discussion “Youth: Connecting to their own country”, along with representatives from the MFA Albania (Mr. Etjen Xhafaj), Albanian Parliament (Ms. Kejdi Mehmetaj), MFA Slovenia (Mr. Peter Grk) and European Stability Initiative (Adnan Cerimagic), and moderated by a representative from the National Youth Congress of Albania (Ms. Dafina Peci). The panel discussion was focused on youth, and particularly on the ‘brain drain’ negative side effects, and emigration of the youth from the Western Balkans region.
